This is an original woodblock print by artist Thomas Nast dated October 15, 1864 is very detailed with several vignettes which show just how divisive the country is even within either the Union or Confederacy. George McClellan is featured in the center image. A celebrated soldier, he was running on the Democratic ticket against incumbent President Lincoln. The 156 year old print is in very good condition except for the centerfold of the piece where it was originally bound. A great piece of history.
